10K in May

I feel like right now in my life this is something that I really need to do. As Cody and I are working 4 jobs PLUS school, church, life in general, I am so stressed out. I want to learn to LOVE to run! I was reading a friends blog yesterday, and she spoke about GREEN. She spoke so eloquently about how plants help her to remember to be rooted. She also talked about how they often need to be re-potted so that they are able to stretch out and explore new things. That really made me to think. I hope that by running, and learning to love to run, that I can feel more peace and calm in my life as I explore new things, new options, new talents.
I planned to post a spreadsheet of my workouts for the next few months, but I do not claim to be very bright on the computer, and I can't figure it out! It is my plan to run a 10k in 12 weeks. My plan is from Hal Higdon, but I altered it a little to fit my schedule. There are 12 weeks of workouts, starting from easy, all the way up to running a 10k. Our ward Relief Society are all going to run this together, and I can't wait! I If you would like me to email it to you in an Excel format to post on your fridge, let me know!

It's Official....MMM...CAFE

I have some BIG NEWS!!!

I have officially started a food blog! I am so, so excited! It is crazy because lately I have had a major addiction to reading cookbooks...yes, LOSER, I know! I am in the middle of two amazing books, one by Jodi Picoult and one by Sheri Dew. However, I just can't bring myself to put down my "Joy of Cooking" cookbook! I guess it is an okay addiction...an addiction that makes my husband happy anyway! (Except for the whole needing to blog every meal that we eat. He has officially become the photographer for the dishes on my blog. Take one look at our food blog, and you will know immediately what pictures I took (the horrible ones) and what pictures my photographer husband took! He claims that these pictures are COPYRIGHTED! Hehe!

Anyway, I have found a new love for cooking, although I am not even close to a pro! Whenever I am looking for new recipes I am always like, "okay, now would anyone actually EAT this?" It gets so frustrating! So, lately I have been a food blog stalker. I have found some of the best recipes, and decided that I may as well share my "tested and tried" recipes with all of you!

I hope that you enjoy the Winterholler's new

Diaper Wreath!

I don't know if you guys have ever seen these before, but I made one today!  They are so fun, and so easy!!!  All you have to do is buy a styrofoam circle(wreath), diapers, colored pipe cleaner, and accessories.  Open the diaper, wrap it around the styrofoam and fasten around the diaper with the pipe cleaner to attach.  Hook all of the toys, clothes, bottles...to the wreath with either pipe cleaner or ribbon.  They are always a bit hit at baby showers!  (Stef and Alyson, sorry for spoiling your gifts!:)

TwO TRuThS aNd A lIE

1)I once cliff jumped from a 50 foot cliff, and when I came out of the water I think that I hyperventilated for a good minute!

2)When I was little, I put a cat in a deep-freezer...I really don't like cats! He was only in there for a couple of minutes!

3)My brother periodically hung me from our loft in our old house, it is 16 feet high! He would hold onto an arm AND a leg...no worries!

Dun Dun Dun....

Which one is the lie?!

Well, NONE of them are lies, except, #2 wasn't ME! I can't remember if it was McKay or Tate, but I do remember playing at the Pearson's one day, jumping on the trampoline. Then, one of them came running up to me and was like, "come look at this!" I went into the garage, and he opened up the freezer...and there was the cat! Ahh! I freaked out...maybe a laughing freak out, we were really young, but still, CRAZY huh?! (For you cat lovers, he lived! He was scarred for life, but LIVED!) Do either of you remember who was the crazy boy who did this?!!! Welcome home MCKAY! hehe!

White Chicken Chili!!!!
Cody and I made this today(believe it or not, he is quite the chef!). It is a recipe from someone on his mission, and it is SOOOOOO good!

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2  tsp. garlic powder
1 T. vegetable oil
4 15. oz cans great northern Beans, drained
1 14 oz. can chicken broth
1 4 oz. can chopped green chilies
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup whipping cream

In a large saucepan, saute chicken, onion and garlic powder in oil until chicken is no longer pink. Add beans, broth, chilies and seasonings.  Bring to a boil.  Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.  Remove from heat and stir in sour cream and whipping cream. Serve immediately.
