10K in May

I feel like right now in my life this is something that I really need to do. As Cody and I are working 4 jobs PLUS school, church, life in general, I am so stressed out. I want to learn to LOVE to run! I was reading a friends blog yesterday, and she spoke about GREEN. She spoke so eloquently about how plants help her to remember to be rooted. She also talked about how they often need to be re-potted so that they are able to stretch out and explore new things. That really made me to think. I hope that by running, and learning to love to run, that I can feel more peace and calm in my life as I explore new things, new options, new talents.
I planned to post a spreadsheet of my workouts for the next few months, but I do not claim to be very bright on the computer, and I can't figure it out! It is my plan to run a 10k in 12 weeks. My plan is from Hal Higdon, but I altered it a little to fit my schedule. There are 12 weeks of workouts, starting from easy, all the way up to running a 10k. Our ward Relief Society are all going to run this together, and I can't wait! I If you would like me to email it to you in an Excel format to post on your fridge, let me know!

Way to go Chelsea! If you ever find the secret of learning to LOVE to run, please pass it on so I can do the same! That will be fun. If I wasn't popping out a baby this summer I would join you, we could have a blogging support group!

Hey! Great goal! You can totally do it! I ran a half marathon 3 years ago and was able to train in about 6 months. I need to get motivated and do it again! That was the best thing I have done in a long time. Good Luck!

Chels thats great and all but I am really liking your food blog. Could you please use Cody as a Guniea Pig for the Following: Muffuletta Sandwich, Seafood Chowder, Chicken and Dumplings, Tomato Basil Soup, (Like at the Carmel Cookie Waffle house in Billings) Waffle Carmel Cookies (like the ones at the Carmel Cookie Waffle house)

Go Chelea! What a awesome goal, I'm sure you'll be able to pull it off. Your food blog is so cute, I definately be trying out some of your recipes, I'm sure Luke would love it if I made him some of those calzones. They look delish! ~Lacee

Chels, We can do it! I would love to get a copy of that schedule when you get it up and running. I haven't figured out how the heck I'm going to get under an hour! It's scary. I didn't realize it's in 12 weeks. yikes. I love your food blog too, it's awesome! I'm going to be trying your soup recipe soon. I also have a friend that owns the first and second seasons. Either they own it or someone else I know does. Either way it will get to you, it's the BEST show! Right up there with The Office and SYTYCD.

p.s. Something I've learned in my running: If I continue to think of my goal as something really big, and train like it's really big, the actual thing is a breeze. You'll love it.
